Chances are that you've had some experience with at least one of your pets undergoing anesthesia. If you haven't, consider yourself lucky! 

Even though procedures that require anesthesia are common, that doesn't mean that we should ignore the risks.

Every time your pet needs an anesthetic procedure, your vet should be discussing the risks and benefits so that you can make an educated and informed decision.

There are 3 questions that I always ask (now that I know better!) before agreeing to let my vet put my pet under anesthesia.
